Checklist for heavy duty electric chain hoist rated capacity, lift height and voltage

Fields that must be written

  1. Equipment type: heavy duty electric chain hoist, manual chain hoist, or another overhead lifting form.
  2. Rated capacity with units, plus lift height and lowered height if the pit or beam is tight.
  3. Power: voltage, phase and frequency, or shop air pressure. Do not leave power blank.
  4. Duty class and expected lifts per hour. Powered versus manual is a duty choice, not a ranking.
  5. Suspension: hook mount, trolley, low headroom. Beam size and aisle width if a trolley is used.
  6. Quantity, destination, and requested delivery window.
  7. Installation, freight and commissioning included when the RFQ names them.
  8. Optional budget: amount or range, currency, per-unit or whole-order basis.
  9. Supplier preference: premium, mid-range, budget-friendly, or compare options. This is a buyer preference, not a verified rating.

What must be verified before accepting an alternative

An alternative body is acceptable when capacity basis, lift height, duty class and power match the brief. A different model series is not proof of fit. Nameplate capacity without load center or attachment notes is a weak substitute. Factory certificates stay with that factory. This desk does not mark a line as an inspected plant or as stock held on our floor. If the buyer still needs trolley travel, beam size and aisle width, leave those as open specification choices rather than accepting a hook-mount substitute. If the destination needs a packing list and a duty-class statement, write those documents as extras so freight and paper are not hidden inside a machine-only price. Pit depth, dock height and three-phase supply belong on the same list when the room uses them.

Public hoist guides often list FPM and voltage. Copy those unit names into the brief. Open inquiry options and state units on the RFQ.
